What is said in the commercial: James Patterson has once again written a fantastic book. “Sail” is a fantastic book that grabs your attention and keeps you reading. Catherine Dunne is a 45 year old heart surgeon with three kids. Her cheating first husband died while sailing, and she's goes on an extended sailing trip to reunite with her kids, each of whom has their own problems. The oldest boy smokes pot, the daughter is bulimic and the younger boy is insecure and unconfident. Catherine believes a two-month sailing trip will reunite her family. She's lost the relationship with her kids since the death of their father. She was consumed with grief and the responsibilities of the funeral. Almost immediately, the boat starts having problems. Thankfully, her brother-in-law Jake is there to help them. Peter Carlyle, Catherine's new husband is a rich defense attorney. He urged Catherine to take this trip and was very supportive. But, as soon as she leaves, you find out he isn't all he claims to be. This story would be a great beach read for summertime mothers lying in the sun. The mixture of suspense and corruption keeps the reader dying to find out what’s next.
Actions in the commercial: The setting of this commercial would start out in a high scale docking station with yachts in the background. The family would board the boat and settle in. The audience would then get a quick look at each character, The too skinny daughter, the high son, the chubby younger boy carrying a laptop and walkie-talkie, a ragged but pretty Catherine, and a very handsome but rough looking Jake. The journey would then begin. After the boat pulled out we would shoot a scene with the husband in a room with his girlfriend. The girl is a dumb airhead but that is an act as well. After getting a brief on him and his conniving ways we would return to the boat to see the elder son getting high and the daughter jumping from the boat. Jake of course will rescue the girl and bring her back to the boat. I would end the commercial with Jake and Catherine standing on the deck looking out to sea with terror on their faces.

Something in this Sail by James Patterson I would change is the relationship between Dr. Catharine and Jake Dunn. In the beginning of the story we learn that the two had an affair but that they felt bad an ended it. The reason that they had it in the first place was that the two were together after her late husband was caught cheating on her and realized that they enjoyed each other more than they knew. They didn’t pick up where they left off due to the fact that Jake ran off to do business on boats to try and stay away from Catharine so he wouldn’t accidently do something he was not allowed to do.
During the boating accident the two try to suppress the feelings because this trip was about the Dr. and her children bonding and getting to know each other once again. They also don’t act on their feelings because of the fact that Dr. Catharine is now remarried and even though things are tough, so wants to work it out. Things might have been different if she would have known her new husband was at home plotting her and her family’s death and enjoying the services of a well paid whore.
I believe that the two should have been together not only because of the attraction they felt for each other but for the sake of the family as well. Though it may have caused some confusion at first I think it would have been for the best in the end. While on board the five learned to function as a family, the younger boy begins to lean on Jake as a father. He helps both the older children through difficult battles and makes the gap between Catharine and the children lessen.
Overall the two being together would have been a plus on the whole family had Jake not died in the end. So the second thing I would change is to keep Jake alive. Not only keep him alive but change the whole ending of the book and make the ending a happy ending instead.

Dr. Katherine Dunne-Katherine Heigl. This woman is a sophisticated and beautiful lawyer. She has just remarried to another lawyer after the unexpected death of her husband who was having and affair when he died on his boat. She has been through a lot but she is still a very attractive woman and is going through hell with her family. I just pictured her on the descriptions in the book.
Carrie Dunne-Lindsay Lohan. These two face some of the same struggles. Carrie is a teen girl struggling with anorexia and needing to be accepted by others. When i pictured Carrie in my head Lindsay is who i saw.
Mark Dunne-Tom Cruise. This is Tom Cruise from when he played in The Outsiders. This boy is a stoner who doesn’t do anything because he is under the impression that he doesn’t want to do anything because it can all end anyways because of his father’s death.
Ernie Dunne-Zach or Cody. The two boys in the show are smart for their age and they are like little know it all. That is what Ernie is like only he is an adult trapped in a child’s body. He has faced too much and is dealing with a lot during this book.
Jake Dunne- Brad Pitt. I would choose Pitt because he has a ruff looking exterior and would fit the physical look of Jake. Jake is Forty four and loves to sail. He is so different from his brother, Stuart, who was married to Katherine. But he has always loved Katherine and when they set sail on the family boat with her family he has high hopes of helping her with her family. From the movie i saw with Pitt in it i think he would be a great match for this rugged sailor.

book

Sail is a bestseller written by James Patterson in 2008. I chose this book because I am obsessed with Patterson’s stories. I love the suspense that keeps you reading, dying to find out what happens next. I have read many books of his and loved them. It all started with the Alex Cross series. It also helps that my grandmother gets them all and gives them too me when she has finished reading them. Inside the flap I read that this is a suspense story of a family trapped at sea when something goes wrong and they are met with many challenges and no hope. Why is there no hope? Because everyone believes they are dead.

SRP Review

A. I did pretty well on the biography section of the paper. Finding things on Jane Austen was easy due to the fact that she was so popular. A part I did not really do well on was the personal analysis backed up by quotations. I did not do to well on the end of the paper but this is mostly due to lack of time and time management. The biggest problem i had was that i waited to the last minute to try and get everything done. I also wasn’t making copies of my sources and printing them out so i was panicking. The paper wasn’t a huge stress until i got a little behind on my rough draft.
B. My advice would be to keep up on the dates and when stuff is due. Also do not count on being able to do most of it at school because it is your responsibility to get things done on your own time. Use the time they do give you in class because they do not give it very often. Don’t wait till the last minute and try to turn it in early it would make you feel a lot better about your paper.

Lady gaga or Christina?

The new ablem was put out and her number one song is crazy and whild. Christinas single "not myself tonight" is already becoming a favorite but many are talking about the video produced with it. In this video you see many things that Gaga has recently done in her videos. Gaga has always had the outragious styles that are weird and cool at the same time. Its what she is know for. But if you go back and take away a baby and a husband you will see a Christina that was just as wild for that period. Although the style of music has changed in the last few months to include new fads, and christina is just following, the resemblance between the two is too close. so the question is who is the coppy cat? Lady Gaga or Christina.
Many Say gaga copied christina because she was out first but i think the opposite because the video has the same routine as many of GaGas put together.

the lost kitty

I get lucy when she was just three weeks old. I had to take care of here and feed her through a bottle for a little while.Everyday lucy would come and find me when i got home from school. Lucy liked to play with yarn, her favorite was a pink ball with green in it. i would play with her after i gave her her warmed bottle of milk. lucy would then lay up in a ball at my feet while i worked on school work. Lucy was a p[layfull cat that sometimes liked to play hide and seek, so when i couldnt find her one day i wasnt too worried. i went to my room and started my school work. When she still didnt show up i was starting to get worried and asked my mother if she had seen lucy anywere. she said that no she had not but that their was a stray cat in the house earlier and she put it in the basement so it wouldnt fight with our cat.
Later that night i went downstairs to see the stray and make sure Lucy wasnt down their. When i oppened the door a meow called to me and i looked to see a cat that was the same size as lucy only it wasnt her. I looked around but couldnt find her. i started to play with the other kitten. she pounced on the pink and green ball as soon as she saw it. It mad me sad that i couldnt find my little Lucy, and reminded me of how much she loved this ball. I looked closer at the stray and saw on her chest a little zipper and was worried. When i pulled it down i saw a diffrent color fur under the first layer. I coutinued and was shock too see that this little cat was my Lucy.
When i went to tell my mom my brother was standing their with her and was laughing as i carried my cat and the fake fur covering into the room. I knew that my brother had tricked me and vowed to get him back.

Battaling abuse from behind a mask

 Behind the mask is a TV show that has just been started for women from Afganistan.This show allows them to talk about the situations that they have faced as a married woman. During the show the woman will wear a mask to conceal her identitie for her safety. The mask is two colors, white and blue. The white represents innocence and the blue represents the oppretion of women.
 This show started by Sami Mahdi a 28 year old who watched abuse in his home for many years. He wanted to help women who are oppressed and dont have anyone to talk to.
 One of the women that cxame on the show is Saraya. This woman was just 15 when she was married to a known rapist and criminal. She asked hyer father why he was doing this to her and he simply said it was his choice and she was at the age of marrige.
 After a few years Sararya had three children and in a abusieve marrige. Her husband started bringing home women that hewould rape at their house and her oldest child started to ask questions. When this started she took her children and ran away. She is constantly on the lookout for the man who has done so much harm to her.
 Another of the woman on the show was just 12 when she was given to a man as a compensation for a death. Her older brother killed a man and in stead of him serving the concequences, her father gave her to the other family for payment. She was continually beaten and tortured. 
 This show was put into action to help the women that come but no one is sure if they can actually jhelp them or not.

Celine Dion: Twins Tiring, but an intense joy.

Celine talks to People Magazine ten weeks after giving birth to twin boys, named Nelson and Eddy.
 In an interview Celine expressed her thanks to her mother and her sister for all the help they have been to0 her during this time. They have been especially helpfull with the shopping and house work.
 Celine says "i didnt have these children to not take care of them, but to give myselt to them 200-300 percent," she explained.
 Unlike some hollywood crew she is changing the diapers and doing the feeding. she says that those things cant be done by someone elese, even though it is tirering it is an intense joy.
 The secret to doing it is just taking it day by day. she also explains that for her the hard part is feeding them. Celine says that being stressed only makes it harder for her to breastfeed. But she finds herself in comical situations at this time.
 After giving birth she says that she experienced loss of appitite and mood swings, which others made her aware of. Her mother also noted that she had moments of "lifelessness" but assured her it was entirerly normal.
 She is begining to reherse for her new CD coming out in march, but isnt going to push herself to hard.
 In reality she explained that she has hardly had time to take care of herself and eating sensibly is her main focus and goal right now.

Report: Iran frees American woman, saying she lied about being spy

 On Sunday it was reported that an American woman surrendered herself to the Iranian boarder guards saying that she was a spy. During the investigation it was found out that this was all a lie.
 the woman claimed that she had spy devices in her teeth and that she was sent by Americans.  When put under investigations she was found to have phychological problems, and her claims about being a spy and having spying devices were said to be not true.The woman was identified as Hall Talayan was deported after it was proven that her phychological problems were true. Fars 55, was detained by boarder officials after she turned herself in as a spy.
Iranian officals told the news on Thursday that Talayan had entered the country without a visa. but on Friday American security Agency reports that this is most likely not true. And Artsvin Bagramian, the head on National Secerity Services, said that their are no reports of anyone by that name entering America by birth or imigration  so this story is highly unlikely
  When the truth was found out the woman pleaded with the officials not to return her to america because she feared for her life their. She is being detained in a nearby location.
 A witness came forward saying that the woman is American but couldnt enter the iran because she didnt have a visa.
The U.S noted the conflicting reports and is trying to get information from Switzerland, who represents the U.S in Iranian affairs. Officials are also looking into seperate cases involving people who have been captured their and are still being held as "spies" after accidentaly crossing the boarder when hiking.

shania twains marrige

shania twain got married on january first two thousand and eleven in puerto rico. her rep tells this exclusivly to people magazine. the country star married fredric thiebaud ag sunset.
the two were married in riacon, puerto rico, in front of forty of their closest family and friends.
the couple who got together in two thousand and nine due to their spouces had and affair found solice in each other and have been together eversince.the two confirmed their engagment in december.
twain recently wrote a letter to her fans in a cd saying the the last two and a half years have been hard for her but she has learned to lean on others for support.tho she isnt used to needing this support she is verry greatfull for it and looks at it as a precious gift. she is also so greatfull for the non wavering dedication her fans have shown and says she is lucky to have them.
twain also talks of her undefying love for fredric nicolas thiebaund and is so greatfull she has him to lean on. she is excited for the future the two have and is looking forward to it.
